Jackson Physicians Alliance Signs Agreement for Web-based Clinical Quality Software from Cielo MedSolutions

Cielo Clinic^TM helps primary care providers transform into high-performing patient-centered medical homes and participate in a variety of pay-for-performance programs

Ann Arbor, MI - September 24, 2009 - Cielo MedSolutions, a provider of healthcare software and web applications, today announced that the Jackson Physicians Alliance (JPA) has signed a purchase agreement to acquire licenses of the web-based Cielo Clinic^TM software.

Cielo Clinic is a clinical quality management system (CQMS) that proactively manages the care needs of medical practice and health system patients through a patient registry, a clinical decision support engine and population management functionality.

JPA providers will use Cielo Clinic software to manage the screening, prevention and chronic disease management needs of their patients and reduce gaps in care, meet the Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan (BCBSM) and National Committee of Quality Assurance (NCQA) patient-centered medical home (PCMH) registry requirements and support their participation in, among others, the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Physician Quality Reporting Initiative (PQRI), Blue Care Network, Priority Health and Blue Cross Blue Shield Michigan pay-for-performance programs.
