Cielo MedSolutions' Technology Improves Colorectal Screening Rates

Donald Nease, Jr., MD, Chief Medical Officer for Cielo MedSolutions, authored a paper in Medical Care entitled "Impact of a Generalizable Reminder System on Colorectal Cancer Screening in Diverse Primary Care Practices." The paper reports on a study evaluating ClinfoTracker - the technology on which Cielo ClinicTM is based - using historical control data in twelve community-based, primary care practices distributed across Michigan.

Cielo MedSolutions' Chief Medical Officer Recognized by Crain's Health Care Heroes

Donald Nease, Jr., MD, Chief Medical Officer for Cielo MedSolutions, was recently recognized as a one of the region's "Health Care Heroes" by Crain's Detroit Business. An associate professor at University of Michigan Health System (UMHS) Department of Family Medicine, Dr. Nease and a team of two other physicians, Lee Green MD and Michael Klinkman MD, developed a web-based system to assist their practice in tracking delivery of care against clinical guidelines.

Cielo MedSolutions Awarded Grant from the National Cancer Institute

Cielo MedSolutions, a provider of healthcare software and web applications, today announced the National Cancer Institute (NCI) has awarded the company a Phase I Small Business Technology Transfer (STTR) grant. In a teaming arrangement with the University of Michigan Health System (UMHS) Department of Family Medicine, Cielo will apply the grant funding to design a next-generation ambulatory clinical quality improvement system based upon the company's flagship product, Cielo Clinic^TM.
